About the Artist
Mosaicist Lloyd van Horsen has studied at the Studio Arte del Mosaico in Ravenna, Italy and shown his work on the Home and Garden television network. He has exhibited his work at the Atkinson Art Gallery in Santa Barbara, California and has conducted workshops for various art groups.
Much of his work are replicas of mosaics found in the ancient churches and mausoleums of Greece, Tunisia, Israel and Italy. He uses marble, glass tesserae and Venetine smalte.
